Share to Shelf on iPhone

Create an iOS Shortcut that appears in the Share Sheet. Share any article URL from NYT, Reuters, Apple News, Safari, and other apps to send it into Signal Shelf's Read Later inbox.

Shortcut endpoint

Create a Shortcut named Save to Signal Shelf and enable Show in Share Sheet for URLs.
Add Get URLs from Shortcut Input.
Add Get Contents of URL, use the endpoint above, choose POST, and set the request body to JSON with url = the URL from step 2.
Add headers Content-Type: application/json and X-Feed-Token: YOUR_APP_TOKEN.
Optionally add Show Notification with “Saved to Signal Shelf”.

Cloud syncOff

Sync sources, folders, preferences, read status, bookmarks, forum progress, summaries, and assistant history between devices.

The Worker URL and app token stay on each device. Cached article bodies remain local and are rebuilt by refreshing.
